5. Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii
The last time we were in Hawaii we spent the majority of our time on the Northshore of Oahu with a nights stay on the Big Island of Hawaii. On the Northshore we love staying at Turtle Bay Resort, popping over to Haleiwa for dining and shopping, and watching surfers along the Banzai Pipeline. We tried to tour as much of the Big Island as possible. We loved stopping for coffee in Kona, hiking and wine tasting in Volcano National Park, and a tour and lunch at Hawaiian Vanilla Company.
4. Rome, Italy
Rome is a city that we both feel at home in. Between the museums, the ruins, the Vatican, and the palazzo's there is always so much to see and do. If that wasn't enough you add in restaurants, hotels, bars, and gelateria's and you can't go wrong! I also believe in the saying that you can't gain weight in Rome lol!
3. Tortola, British Virgin Islands
When Tortola was devastated by hurricanes this year it completely broke my heart. Tortola is where I am most relaxed and at ease. We were on a catamaran from Tortola to Jost Van Dyke once and Greg looked over at me and noticed that my face, mannerisms, and thoughts were of pure happiness. Whether you visit via plane, cruise ship, or tour you will love the beaches, food, and people of this amazing island.
2. Bali, Indonesia
Going to Asia had been a bucket list destination for me. We went back and forth about destinations but our first experience was Bali. The people, culture, food, resorts, and sights are truly unforgettable. Being is a place so different from where I come from changed me in a positive way. I truly hope everyone can experience the gratitude I felt from getting to experience truly amazing sights.
1. Reykavik, Iceland
To describe Iceland only one word comes to mind and that's magical. Iceland is my favorite trip we've ever been on. I have never been a winter person but being further north than ever before, walking on a glacier, and visiting frozen waterfalls changed that! We weren't in Iceland for very long but we loved every minute of it! I would love to visit again in the summer time to see another side of this amazing country.
