Here is a response from the Hotel Sofitel in New York City in regards to my review. Here is a link to my review http://wanderlusthearts.weebly.com/new-york.html
GMTito, General Manager at Sofitel New York, responded to this review July 12, 2012 Dear Guest, Thank you for spending the time telling us about your experience at Sofitel New York, we really sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations about our hotel and its services. To reach a great guest experience is a must for us and at every Sofitel around the world, and we work very hard for it, we believe that having the chance to know what you have experienced is the best tool we can have to improve and like this reach our promises. We regret that we could not provide the seamless service that you deserve and all the confusing situations you experienced, our hotel was fully booked at the time and there were no available rooms that we could offer you. All of our guests’ requests are important to us, but we are limited by the number of rooms with the specifications that are requested. We apologize as well for some inattentive service at the reception, while that individual does not reflect our philosophy or the way we train our staff, we are very concerned that you did not receive the exemplary service you deserve. I have requested that our head of human resources institute a review of our training procedures. We hope that you will consider staying at Sofitel New York, again so that we may show you the gracious hospitality and superb service for which we are known around the world. Sincerely, Jorge Tito

Here is a response I received from the Homewood Suites in Savannah Ga based on my review.
Deborah Cline, General Manager at Homewood Suites by Hilton Savannah, responded to this review July 3, 2012 Thank you for staying with us at the Homewood Suites and we're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to Savannah! It is a great get-away and a beautiful city with lots of history and things to do. I'm happy we were able to get you checked in early - it's not always possible as check out isn't until noon and we clean our suites thoroughly including changing the duvet and comforter after every guest. We are thrilled we could make it happen for you! I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the cornbread and will speak with our breakfast team to see if we can improve on this. Our breakfasts are quite popular around the area so to ensure that we have plenty of food for our registered guests, we had to start giving out dining tickets at check-in. We completely understand you trying another hotel in the Historic District, but remember to come back and see us from time to time. Don't forget we have free parking, spacious suites, complimentary breakfast every morning, and dinner Monday through Thursday. We will also be renovated very soon and can't wait to show it off! Thanks again for staying with us and we hope you'll be back soon! Sincerely, Deborah Cline General Manager ![]() I just finished posting our review of Hotel Sofitel New York City. Unfortunately it's a let down. Check out the review here:http://wanderlusthearts.weebly.com/new-york.html ![]() After finding parking close to the Reading Terminal Market we ventured inside for some tasty treats. Our first stop was at Termini Bros Bakery. Termini Brothers makes delicious Italian Cookies that my family loves. Our second stop was at the 4th Street Cookie Company. If they cookies are good enough for Cookie Monster than they will be good enough for us. We tried their chocolate chip and chocolate chip macadamia cookies and both were outstanding. Our last stop was at Hershel's Deli for lunch to go. We ordered a Pastrami Sandwich with mustard and mayo and a Potato Knish. The Pastrami sandwich was loaded with fresh and flavorful pastrami. The sandwich was one of the best we have ever tried. The Potato Knish was creamy, salty, and perfectly flaky. If you are in the neighborhood I highly recommend shopping and/or dining at the Reading Terminal Market. Reading Terminal Market 51 North 12th Street Philadelphia, PA 19107 (215) 922-6220 Whenever we drive to south we make sure we stop at the Farmers Market on the way home.
Inside of McLeod's Farm Stand you will find fresh peaches, fruit breads, ice cream, and more. It's also a good place for a nice clean restroom. Inside the main area you will find several farms offering local wines, james, fruit, vegetables, bacon, and boiled peanuts. Our must buys are sweet potatoes, green tomatoes, and the boiled peanuts. Pee Dee State Farmers Market2513 West Lucas Street Florence, SC 29501 (843) 665-5154 Regular Market Hours: Open Monday - Saturday all year 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day Our latest road trip was mainly about experiencing food from New England to Savannah. When we were walking around Savannah we did stop at some of our favorite shops! Here are some of our can't miss places:
The Salt Table - Offering salts, seasonings, tea, sugars, oil, and vinegars. We purchased Mediterranean Green Tea with Pomegranates, Black Tea with Cherries, and Ginger Sugar. The store offers tastings of each item (which they are tons). Naturally, Greg tried the Ghost Pepper Salt. Although it was hot he says it had good flavor. Savannah Bee Company - Offering honey, gifts, dog treats, beauty products, snacks, and beverages. Savannah Bee Company also has a tasting bar to try out the many varieties of honey offered. On this trip our favorites were the Raw Tupelo, Black Sage, and the Winter White Honey. The Paris Market - Offering home goods, gifts, jewelry, kids clothing, beauty products, and also has a small cafe. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything I just had to have this time but I love looking around and taking in the atmosphere of this store. Terra Cotta - A boutique offering women's clothing, shoes, and accessories. The Grateful Hound - Offering pet accessories, food, and treats. River Street Sweets - Candy, Candy, and more Candy! This store is my favorite for Southern Pralines! On our next visit to Savannah I will be sure to find out some more fabulous shops! In a few minutes I will be posting 3 reviews from out Southern Food Road Trip!
