Sometimes life just gets in our way. That was my day today. Everything that could have went wrong did go wrong and I was left with exhaustion and a headache.
Tomorrow I will be watching my sister compete in a ballroom dance competition. After that I am hoping to post my review of Carol Drinkwater's The Olive Harvest. Here's to hoping everyone is having a good day and a better upcoming weekend!!

Red Bone Alley (Florence SC) Hi Stacy, Since we make all of our dishes to order, we can definitely create something just for your cousin. Be sure to tell your server that she has an allergy and they will pass the info along to our kitchen. You can tell your server or the manager on duty some of her favorite foods and I am positive we can make her happy! Hope to see you soon, Traci Riley HR Manager Red Bone Alley 1903 West Palmetto St Florence, SC 29501 Cheeseburger in Paradise (All)
1st response Good Morning Stacy, At Cheeseburger in Paradise your dining experience is our first priority. We are happy to offer meals that are dairy free, however because of the size of the menu it is always best if you take a look first.. then let us know what interests you, and we will inform you of the ingredients/how to order the meal dairy free. Please feel free to check out a menu online, and then e-mail me back with any specific questions you have. Also, whenever you visit a Cheeseburger in Paradise, make sure to ask for a manager and let him know of your allergy/specific dietary needs; he or she will always be happy to accommodate you in the best way possible. Warm Regards, Your Cheeseburger in Paradise team 2nd response Hello Stacy, There is no milk or milk derived products in the bun, there is egg. There is also no dairy in FF or the oil, seasoning, etc. Plain burger, GF bun, Pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and fries would be fine. Please don’t forget to let a hostess/manager know of your dietary needs when you get to the restaurant so they can better accommodate you. Thank you! A New Review is up for Bob's Clam Hut in Kittery, ME. This past weekend we went up to Kittery for lunch and also to stop in at Yummies Candy Store. I am creating wedding favors for my cousin and this is the best place to shop for candy.
Some of our other favorite things to do are: Head to York Beach for some fun in the sun, boogie boarding, kite flying, and picnicking. Visit Nubble Lighthouse and enjoy the scenery and maybe an ice cream. Outlet shopping in Kittery. They offer everything from clothes to camping goods. With Brands like Adidas, Coach, Crate and Barrel, Yankee Candle and more. The review of Blue Mermaid Island Grill is now up! Including pictures!

Next time we visit the city we'll be sure to write down some more! I check all labels when looking at purchasing foods right now. I also try to do as much research online as I can when looking for dairy free products. Here are some of the responses I received.
Good Responses: When Pigs Fly Bakery - All of our breads are dairy free Taza Chocolate - Thanks for reaching out! Taza Chocolate bars, discs, roasted nibs, and chocolate covered items do not contain dairy, and we do not use any dairy products in our facilities. If you have any other questions about our products, please feel free to contact me. Crystal Beer Parlor (Savannah GA) - It will definitely be a pleasure to welcome you and your family back to The Crystal Beer Parlor. We have many menu items that would be allowed on a dairy-free diet, so I see no problem in being able to accomodate the needs of your cousin. Please be aware however, that if it is a severe allergy, there may be some non-dairy items that are prepared in close proximity with items that do contain dairy. The Lady and Sons (Savannah GA) - Hi Stacy, yes we can accommodate dairy free diets. The majority of our buffet items contain chicken base which has dairy in it. We find that most guests that have dairy allergies choose to order from our menu which provides more selection of dairy free items. As well we have a gluten free menu that has items that can be cooked without dairy. Our gluten free menu can be seen on our website under the allergy statement section. I would advise that when you arrive you inform your server of the allergy and they can work directly with the kitchen to provide a dairy free dish. If you have any more questions or concerns please feel free to contact us by email or phone. Not So Great ResponsesPepperidge Farm - We received your message and appreciate the time you took to contact Pepperidge Farm. Pepperidge Farm follows all government regulations regarding the labeling of our products. In the case of the top 8 allergens, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, fish, wheat, soy and shellfish, we list those ingredients in the product ingredient statement, no matter how small the amount might be. We do not include any of those items under the broader listings of "spices" or "natural flavors". We recommend that consumers always check the ingredient statement and evaluate the product based on the statement. If your concern is with Peanuts and Tree Nuts, I can tell you that at this point in time, none of our Goldfish Crackers, Bread, Hamburger and Hot Dog Rolls, Croutons, Stuffing, Turnovers, Garlic Breads and Puff Pastry products currently use this ingredient. A few of our Cookie and Layer Cake products do contain Tree Nuts, but no Peanuts. Our company policy is to clean and sanitize production equipment to minimize the risk of cross contact with any top allergens. In the case of just a handful of products, where we feel that despite the application of good manufacturing practices there may be some risk of cross contact, we will use a "may contain" statement on the label. Our decision to use a "May Contain" statement is made on a product-by-product basis with consumer safety being the ultimate goal. So as a summary, if the ingredient statement does not list the allergen, and there is no "may contain" statement in the ingredient statement, you can be assured that we have done our best to eliminate cross contact and are not aware of any top allergen in the product. When planning our vacations I love to do some research, okay a lot of research. Greg likes to be surprised and while I like surprises I find excitement in learning what will be there.
