This review is from May, July, and August 2016 We just returned from a 2 week 6,000 mile road trip to the Southwest of the United States. We have seen so many new places, a lot of old favorites, hotels, restaurants and more! I have a ton of reviews and pictures that I'll be posting soon! Before I do that I have some travel stories and reviews from earlier this year to share with you. First up is our weekend getaway to Saint John NB! We stayed at the Hilton Saint John again. For my full review visit here. We hiked in Fundy National Park for most of our time. We did get to visit Morello Castle although they were closed for the season. We dined at the pet friendly Grannan's Seafood Restaurant, the apparently no longer pet friendly Tipsy Tails Restaurant in Alma NB, and enjoyed room service from the Hilton Hotel especially their fried calamari appetizer (so unique)! In July we drove down to Virginia. My cousin was going to be in the teen division for the National Taekwondo Championship! Very exciting! We stayed at the Hilton Downtown Richmond. For my full hotel review visit here. We went to the competition of course which was fun to see and fun to cheer her on. We dined on Ramen at Tenka Ramen, which was delicious! We also enjoyed rice bowls and Soju at Zzaam Korean Restaurant. During our down time we thoroughly enjoyed drinks and intense games of Jenga in the Hilton lounge. In August we drove to Ohio to hang out with our cousins for a long weekend! We had such a fun weekend and really got to see some awesome parts of Columbus! During out trip we went to North Market for some yummy shopping! We bought spices, desserts, and lots of little goodies while sipping on some boba tea! We dined at the Refectory Restaurant (where my cousin works) and thoroughly enjoyed the well composed dishes. We also went to Urban Scrawl 10. Urban Scrawl 10 is an art exhibit showing artist indoors but the main attraction was urban artists outside. They also had food trucks and beer stands. A few other stops along our travels were Knotty Pine Brewing for a delicious dinner on their patio, Denmark on high for outstanding drinks but extremely slow service, and Local Cantina for lunch on their pet friendly patio. We ended our weekend with a delicious meal cooked by my cousin! In September we ventured up to Bar Harbor ME with family. We rented a house on Airbnb which worked out great for us as we were 6 adults and 2 dogs. We wandered around town for sightseeing and shopping. Walked to some sights and caught the sunset in Acadia National Park. The highlight of our trip was rock climbing with Atlantic Climbing Co with guides Wendy and Seth! For food during out stay we enjoyed dinner at Cafe this way. Breakfast at 2 Cats Inn and Cafe. A very large lunch at Mainely Meat BBQ. A not so great dinner at Poor boys Gourmet - the sauce in Lobster Fra Diablo shouldn't be sweet. Finally a delicious dinner outside at McKays Public House.
