Now on to the amazing! I loved all of the special touches for Valentine's Day. The restaurant was strewn with rose petals and balloons. Also to finish our meal we were given a red rose, cookies, and chocolates to bring home.
To start our dinner we ordered a fruity Sake. The 9 dishes we were given were beautifully presented, bold in flavor, perfectly cooked, and very memorable. During our meal we enjoyed smoked oysters, sashimi, seabass, soup, escargot, cod, sushi, wagyu beef, and dessert. On both of our visits we especially enjoyed dishes prepared with a broth. The rich flavors Oishii creates are incredible. The restaurant is able to accommodate my dairy allergy. However, during this visit I was brought dishes that included dairy in them twice. Luckily during the description of the dishes they error was caught.
When we travel we often choose restaurants with an Omakase menu. In the past we have tried O Ya, Zuma, Morimoto, and Nobu. Oishii is by far superior to our recent Omakase at Nobu and is close to being our favorite. We are so happy to have this restaurant in Boston. I can't wait for visit number 3!
