Soon we'll be heading on a pet friendly road trip to Washington D.C. This will be new for all three of us! We'll be trying out the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center.
Over the summer we'll be taking a kid friendly trip to New York City. We'll be trying out the Waldorf New York City.
In the fall we will be heading to Florida for an adults only trip. This trip is in two parts. The first part we'll be re-visiting the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista. The second part we'll be re-visiting the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I kind of feel flighty lately but it just can't be helped. We have been working on a roadtrip with Fred and kept running into issues. First we looked at Saint John New Brunswick. It seems as though the town is pet friendly but with the colder temperatures we didn't think this would work out too well. Next we looked at Quebec City Canada. Lots to see and do! The first downside is places are semi-pet friendly. They don't allow dogs onto their patios but will allow the dogs to be on the other side of the fence from you. I don't think Fred would react too well to this. The other issue is everything food related has dairy in it. 4 days of not really being able to eat - not great. We just seemed to have too few of choices due to our restrictions (Fred and allergy). Our third idea was Toronto Canada. Very pet friendly, lots of food choices, but not as much to see and do. Finally we settled on a place we wanted to visit earlier in the year. So now we'll be heading to Washington D.C. Lots to see and do, extremely pet friendly, and tons of dining options! Plus it's the closest to us from all of our choices. Since it's Fred's first road trip we wanted a shorter distance to make sure he likes it. I am also donating two cakes to Birthday Wishes this month. I'm so excited to be helping out again! The first cake is going to two boys who asked for a Superhero party. Here is my test cake. I'll be doing more detail and better finish work on the actual cake. The second cake is a little harder because there is a big age difference. When I come up with that design I'll be sure to share it as well. I want to give a big thank you to Make Love Locks! I ordered a lock as an anniversary present for friends who will be traveling to Paris soon. The Lock is terrific(I peeked inside the package), and the packaging is perfect! I can't wait to give it to our friends. Hopefully I'll be able to get a picture of them with it and one when they put it on the Love Bridge in Paris. |
