We were born in the 70s so naturally we along with our friends love 80s music! Earlier this summer we met up with friends for a Bryan Adams concert at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford NH. From our house it's a hike! It took us about 1.5 hours to get there including traffic for Bike Week. The venue and the concert were well worth the trip! The venue is medium sized, offers lots of dining options, drink options, and several freebies. The staff are friendly and helpful and the Rochester Truck VIP Parking was well worth it! Bryan Adams sounds amazing, looks great, offers a great stage set up, and made our night! The only downside to the evening was how many people chose to sit through the entire concert. I have never been to a concert where people sat through the entire show especially at an outdoor venue. Each summer we take Porscha into Boston and check out different areas. Last year we went shopping on Newbury St. This year we visited Faneuil Hall, The Greenway, and the Boston Public Garden first. With plans later in the day we decided to grab a small but delicious lunch from the Bon Me Food Truck. Greg and Porscha chose Banh Mi's for lunch I opted for the Miso braised pork rice bowl. I love their flavor combinations so I decided to risk the pain I may have later due to any gluten / soy. Our most recent trip into Boston was for some snacks in Chinatown and lunch at Koreana in Cambridge. Porscha has never tried a Bubble Tea before so that was our first stop. We decided to try Tea Do Contemporary Tea House. We enjoyed the Thai Tea with Boba and the Passionfruit green tea with Boba. Both drinks were satisfying and refreshing on a hot day.
Every time we are in Chinatown Greg has to stop at New Saigon Sandwich shop and buy a few Banh Mi's for the house. The sandwiches are the perfect combination of crusty bread, fresh vegetables, sweet and salty marinated meats, and a touch of heat from jalapenos. It kills me that I can't enjoy them anymore! Our next stop was to a couple of the Chinese bakeries to pick up dessert for our family dinner the next day. We chose lemon tiger rolls, strawberry cake, chocolate cake, and a green tea roll. After some souvenir shopping for Porscha to bring back home we headed over to Cambridge for our lunch reservation. Unfortunately the parking situation near Koreana isn't too great so it took us a little while but we eventually found a small spot (Thank goodness for small cars).
