The morning started out extremely gloomy. From my window I found it strange that so much of Frankfurt can be covered up by Fog. I decided to get on with my day and so I headed out of the hotel and walked up to Palmengarten. Palmengarten is a mixture of indoor and outdoor water features, flora and fauna, and an all around relaxing area. I enjoyed the indoor tropical gardens, and the cacti gardens most since it was a bit chilly out. The outdoor gardens and lakes must be incredibly beautifully on a sunny and seasonal day! Around lunch time I walked down to Zeil St for some shopping! I found chocolates for family and friends, cookbooks for my mother, and toys for my nieces and nephews. After working up an appetite I decided to stop for some Currywurst (one of my new favs). Bratwurst with a curry ketchup sauce and french fries on the side. Yum!!
When Greg got out of work I met up with him and a few of his co-workers at a wine bar near the Alte Opera. Greg enjoyed a beer while I enjoyed a lovely Pinot Noir. For dinner we decided to dine back at the Hilton Frankfurt. We were both tired and in need of easy! For the full review visit here.
