We packed up our car, made Fred a little comfy section in the back seat, and hit the road to D.C. The road trip itself isn't very exciting. Generally from Massachusetts to Washington D.C. all you run into is traffic, rest stops, fast food restaurants, and tons of tolls. 1st challenge we solved is when using GPS on your phone go with Google vs. Apple Maps! Apple Maps sent us the longest way possible through Connecticut! Needless to say when returning home we used Google and shaved at least a half an hour off of our time! 2nd challenge we solved is that when we have very little options for food Burger King rolls and french fries are Dairy Free! Yay Burgers and Fries! Naturally Fred thoroughly enjoyed a bit of a small hamburger! 3rd challenge we solved is that we now know for sure how much we need on our EZ pass when traveling! Basically the tolls between Massachusetts and Washington D.C. came to around $75!! Yikes! Friday night traffic in Washington D.C. is no joke! Finally we arrived at our destination Hilton Alexandria Mark Center. For my full review visit here.
Fred definitely didn't get the best first impression of the hotel that we hoped for. Right away he was scared because there were several loud buses at the entrance of the hotel. When we entered the hotel we were met with thousands of Spanish pastors and leaders. Next he wasn't impressed with the elevators lol. Finally he settled down in our hotel room. Later he learned to enjoy the hotel grounds and the attention from others.
